ASR 33 Teletype Paper Tape Punch Video

This video demonstrates the operation of the paper tape punch mechanism of the ASR 33 Teletype. The codebars at the bottom of the punch have the 8 bit data decoded from the serial stream. They control which punch activates to make a hole in the paper. A ninth punch punches the smaller feed hole. The waste paper bits (chad) fall down the black tube into a bin below.
